“And the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time." - T. S. Eliot
Every year we have a holiday sale as a special thanks for supporting our small business. If I’m being honest, I’ve always hated to add to the sale noise, and it’s especially hard this year because our newsletter is no longer of the e-commerce variety.
But we do look forward to giving back, and announcing our sale on the early side gives our international friends a chance to get items in time for their holiday celebrations.
This year, in addition to our 25% off sale, we’ve also made you a little gift! I’ve formatted the above T. S. Eliot design into gift tags, greeting cards and an 8x8 print for personal use this holiday season. You can download it here. Thank you all for your tremendous support through the years, I couldn’t be more grateful!

What Resonated in 2023?
The process of assessing my work over the course of the year is always an interesting retrospective. What did I make this year? What did people respond to the most? The moods change from year to year, and while I grow even more distrustful of social media as a barometer for absolutely anything, people tend to be quite honest with their dollars. By that gauge, this year was, for many of you, a year for philosophical self reflection and realignment toward what’s essential and true. I feel you, I’m there too. Despite the despair and endless cynicism of the internet these days, I remain hopeful for us all in real life and for the year to come in general. Like Jeff Buckley said, “we could be so happy if we wanted to be.”
Art Prints
Collections of three art prints continue to be our most popular combo, and with good reason. From the bottom up, I always wanted to create a collection of works broad enough for you not only to find personal favorites, but also to be able to make collections that were thematically meaningful to you. Plus there’s that 3 for 2 deal! It’s always awesome and often surprising to see what illustrations people choose to combine.
I’m so grateful to have been able to work on this project for as long as I have and by the time I finish the current Marcus Aurelius book, I should be at 200 prints! That’s crazy, and I thank you all so much for allowing me enough success with this to get that far.
The most common question I hear about the prints is what frames we recommend. We really like a simple black frame with a nice mat. This year, we found one that is great for these prints and inexpensive (like buy one get one free inexpensive)! If you’ve been waiting to frame or holding off on some prints until you can frame them, check these out (pictured above: 16x20 frame matted to fit our 11x14 inch prints).
2024 Calendar
The original reason I started adding more items like calendars, notebooks and bookmarks to the shop was to accommodate requests for paper goods to give as gifts. The desktop calendar has been a big favorite for many years for that purpose.
Bold, graphic interpretations of provocative literary lines provide 12 months of inspiration. This petite calendar is perfect for your desk, bookshelf, inspiration board or table, and makes a great holiday gift.
Each calendar is loose bound so the art can be clipped and saved at the end of the month. Comes with a wooden easel (shown).
The notebooks make great stocking stuffers and little gifts for the people on your nice list. We’re really excited to have sorted out how to keep making these this year, so some old favorites are back in the shop again for the first time in many months. Check them out!
Each notebook in our collection is a tribute to literary greats, featuring artful cover designs that evoke the essence of timeless classics. These portable companions are perfect for jotting down thoughts, sketches, or quotes on the go.
Their compact size makes them an ideal stocking stuffer or a thoughtful gift for book lovers and aspiring writers.
In addition to our bestsellers literary postcard collection, the women writers collection continues to be a favorite gift item. We’re thinking about other themed collections we could make in this format next year, and welcome your thoughts on that. But these are always a hit and come in a really nice resealable box which presents well for gifts.
A visual ode to visionary women.
Twenty-four modern interpretations of classic lines celebrate the formidable creativity and tenacious spirit of these remarkable literary pioneers. Authors include: Jane Austen, Agatha Christie, Emily Dickinson, Zora Neale Hurston, Mary Shelley, Charlotte Brontë, Virginia Woolf, Edith Wharton, Ida B Wells and more.
Happy wishes to you all, I hope that the season gets off to a wonderful start next week, and is filled with joy, friends and family, tasty food, awesome surprises, and lasting memories.

Thank you for the tip on frames!
One in my sphere is at the end of her exploring. Wishing her traveling mercies with her back to the wind, and gratitude for her story.
